 Jackson County Generals “Fighting for a Cure” Shirts

Jackson County Public Schools Family,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as Liver Cancer Awareness Month, and on Friday, October 23rd, we would love to see our schools come together for a district-wide Cancer Awareness Day. Our football game theme that evening will be Cancer Awareness – Pink Out, but we know cancer awareness goes far beyond one color or one type of cancer. Unfortunately, that ugly little “c” word has touched nearly every family in some way. We all have someone we celebrate as a survivor, someone currently fighting, or someone whose memory we carry with us. ❤️ The Jackson County High School Cheerleaders are selling new Jackson County Generals “Fighting for a Cure” shirts, and we would love to invite staff members, students, and families throughout the district to participate with us!

We invite all Jackson County schools and staff to wear their cancer awareness shirts on Friday, October 23rd. Our hope is to fill our schools with a rainbow of awareness colors representing stories of fighters, a survivor, or someone deeply loved and remembered. Then that evening you can join us at the football game as we PINK OUT (or any color) and the stands and stand together against a disease that has affected far too many of the people we love.

The best part is that you can choose the color of your shirt based on the cancer that has impacted you or someone you love. Wear pink for breast cancer, orange for leukemia or kidney cancer, purple for pancreatic cancer, green for liver cancer, lavender for all cancers, or another awareness color that represents someone special to you.

Shirts are available in any awareness color in the following styles:

  • T-shirt – $15

  • Long Sleeve – $20

  • Crewneck – $25

  • Hoodie – $30

    Sizes available up to 5X.

If you would like to order, please email me or see a JCHS Cheerleader! Shirt orders are due by this Thursday, October 8th so that we will have shirts ready for Cancer Awareness Day. Thank you for supporting our JCHS Cheerleaders and, even more importantly, for helping us honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we have lost. No matter the color, we are all fighting for the same CURE. 💗❤️🖤🤍🧡💛💚💙💜
